The Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA) fielded a 2 day due diligence mission to Shelter Afrique from August 26, 2009. 

The mission was fielded with a view to renewing the business relationship existing between the two institutions with an overarching need to strengthening the strategic partnership with Shelter-Afrique. This will be achieved through Line of Credit, co-financing, potential shareholding and capacity building interventions, among others. In this regard DBSA through the mission, is considering extending a long-term secured Line of Credit of up to ZAR 300m to Shelter-Afrique with an immediate disbursement plan for ZAR 100m, following approval by DBSA management.

The mission was led by Davies Pwele of DBSA International Finance Division.
