The programme will entail the identification, appraisal, structuring and financing of residential estates conceived by either private or public sector developers for outright sale or rental to individuals and families. Most of the projects implemented by the Company, since its inception, fall under this programme. There is therefore sufficient expertise within the Company to execute this programme in which it has competitive advantage in this area since many local banks are not actively involved in construction financing. Support will continue to be given to small and medium-size developers to encourage their involvement in housing delivery. The programme will target housing development for all income categories, including single and multifamily homes provided they meet our lending criteria. Rental housing projects including students’ hostels that provide affordable housing will be eligible for funding.
