The Kingdom of Morocco will host the 45th Annual General Meeting of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank in June 2026
Nairobi, 29th May 2026 – The Kingdom of Morocco will host the 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank, scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 June 2026. The event will convene public policymakers, investors, housing experts, development partners, and private sector stakeholders from across Africa and beyond.
Under the theme “The Future of Cities: Financing Inclusive, Green and Resilient Urban Development,” the 45th AGM will serve as a strategic platform for dialogue on the continent’s urban development priorities, the mobilisation of innovative financing mechanisms, and the strengthening of partnerships in support of sustainable, resilient, and inclusive cities.
The event will feature an Annual Symposium, a Ministerial Roundtable, the institution’s statutory meetings, business sessions, as well as a series of bilateral engagements between investors and stakeholders operating within the housing and urban infrastructure sectors.
Ministers responsible for housing, finance, and urban development from member states, representatives of regional and international financial institutions, property developers, institutional investors, and technical experts are expected to participate in this high-level meeting.
By hosting this 45th edition of the Annual General Meeting, the Kingdom of Morocco reaffirms its commitment to sustainable urban development, affordable housing, climate resilience, and financial innovation in support of African cities.
Commenting on the convening of this General Assembly, the Management of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank emphasised that the meeting is being held at a pivotal moment for African cities, which are confronted with rapid urbanisation and increasing demands for modern, resilient, and inclusive infrastructure.

The Shelter Afrique Development Bank is a multilateral financial institution established by African governments with the mandate to promote the financing of affordable housing, sustainable urban development, and related infrastructure across the continent.
